Your heart beats 100,000 times a day.
The sun is only a minor star among 100 billion in a galaxy which is relatively small among countless galaxies.
Thirteen billion gallons of water flow over Niagara Falls every day.
How many blades of grass are there on your lawn? Millions? Billions?
How many leaves are there on the tree in front of your house?
There is an incredible amount of abundance in this world that Hashem created just for us. Not only did He create everything with phenomenal abundance, but He also recycles everything that is not used to return eventually in a new form at a later date. The world contains a built-in vision and foresight for ongoing planning.
Even more, Hashem has arranged everything for the benefit of all involved. For example, for everything you want to sell, there is someone who wants to buy it. For what you want to buy, there is someone looking to sell it. There is perfect balance and timing in everything that happens in this world.
The world is indeed filled with blessings. The question is, do we see and appreciate the blessings?
This is our challenge - to see if we can hold on to our vision of the big picture and realize how even the smallest creations are in place by divine order. Hashem plans everything with our best interests in mind.
There was once a survey in which people were asked what was the worst thing that ever happened to them and what was the best thing that ever happened to them. They discovered that there was an 80 percent correlation between the worst thing and the best thing. In other words, the terrible eventually turned into the terrific! Events that seemed so terrible in the end contained blessing.
If you look around, you will find Hashem’s blessings everywhere. Let us be inspired to recognize and appreciate the blessings and abundance of Hashem’s creations, as we say in borei nefashos: “He created many creatures and all that they need and many extras...”
Everything Hashem does is for good. (Berachos 60b)
The more you look for Hashem’s blessings, the more you will find!
